Escape what reality? Her reality related to her pheno is a reality completely separated to an (other) reality one that that is related to her Identity. Being Latino does not have anything to do with a look. People would better say Mix race for those Latinos who look mix raced but even if they are mixed race admix proportions vary from one end to the other.

Yeah she actually thought she would be more Native American and expected that from her DNA test, but she found out she's predominantly European and was shocked. So she never saw herself as a white girl neither for all those people accusing her of self-hate.
