Austrians are not real Germans. They are mix of Slavs, Germans and Avars (Turkic steppe nomads).

They look totally different to northern Germans, although they overlap somewhat with south Germans.

They also have very low blondism, I think levels of 10% proper blondism is about right.

I remember speaking to numerous tiroleans who were ethnic Austrian with dark curly hair and very short (5'8 - 5'9) range - it appeared to be the norm.
