I'm offended at you feeding into the nonsense when you judge countries off of a study. Note: I'm not saying these countries are not pred. black. My problem comes with you treating a genetic study as the finally word. That's why I said demograpics would be a better judge.

I don't have any issues with Belize being multiethnic. It's more diversity than the Bahamas, admittedly. Since the Bahamas is mostly black with whites as a sizeable minority, and smaller numbers of Asians and Latinos. I'm just telling you Belize is rarely mention with the Caribbean or West Indies. Its seen as an in between state. Even more so than the Bahamas. The Bahamas, while out in the Caribbean sea. Has always had multiple Caribbean/west Indian ties.

The Bahamas can't help being associated with America, since its the close country. Some white and black Bahamians were even the first settlers to areas such as coconut grove, South Florida and the Keys.

But still ,Belize is only an associate of the Caribbean and West indies. So of course you can have a CARICOM head. This doesn't make people see you as Caribbean or West Indian. I've never,or hardly seen belizeans on West Indian/caribbean forums. But I do know a Bahamian/Belizean.
Belize can't help but associate with Central America for the same reason the Bahamas can't help being associated with America.

In fact, the only reason a Bahamian would try to connect with "real" Caribbean people is because the Bahamas is chain of an islands with mostly blacks. Admit it.

You guys have more of a connection with the Gullah/Geechee islands and Bermuda, like Belize has with Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. My great grandfather was mixed race Jamaican.

Once again I believe in the accuracy of the study, because the difference in admixture were menial.

As far as Belize being an West Indies "associate" or whatever, that is a matter of opinion (Yours). I guess we're too diverse and confusing for you.

I live in New York City and have met only two Bahamians EVER. I don't see you Bahamians out on the Labor Day parade at all, but I do see my fellow Belizeans with our own floats too.

And who cares about forums (this one is cool though), I think you should go out and meet people.
