you'd be better off (and better informed) if you ignored the article and read the poll detail. This is a feel-good poll for the perpetually disaffected who yearn to throw everyone out. Reading the detail proves as much.
First - the final polls before the 2006, 2008, and 2010 elections showed that only 52%, 55%, and 51% of Reg Voters thought their rep should be re-elected, but relatively few incumbents lost their seats during those 3 cycles. The biggest turnover was in 2010 when about 1 of 6 incumbents lost their seat. Hardly a demonstration of dissatisfacation. (Though gerrymandering clearly has had an impact on this).
Second - the poll itself isn't highly predictable, as Dems "out-polled" Reps in the final poll leading up to the 2010 midterms (46 to 44) but took a "shellacking", losing about 1/4 of all of their seats.
Lastly - I'd suspect that a majority of those polled couldn't even name their rep. As a demonstration of registered voter ignorance, 9% never heard of Nancy Pelosi, and 10% never heard of John Boehner. Hard to imagine that these folks know who in their own district they're even evaluating.
The most interesting content in this poll are the trends, which appear to favor neither party as far as I can see.
