I understand he tweeted 3 hours before and 4 minutes after the tweet in question. So it's unlikely the account was hacked.

Also, one of the people he followed was Ginger Lee, a porn star, who may have been the intended recipient, not the college
student, Gennette Cordova (he may have mixed up the names). The porn star had tweeted several times since March that she wanted to have sexual relations with Anthony Weiner.

On top of this, there's an old 2001 Vanity Fair article that about Capitol Hill interns that mentions how Weiner was emailing one of the interns repeatedly and asking her out.

Clearly, the guy is a playa.

I don't really care what he does in his spare time, but no one should believe the conspiracy theories that this was not an authentic tweet.
