Salaam alaikum

Seeking an advanced degree from Ivy League university is academically no different from a similar degree from a state university. The distinction is if one uses the elaborate social network of Ivy League schools post graduation for employment, research, political office, etc; Ivy League social networks remain the most significant distinction between the Ivy League and state schools.
So if you are looking for a research or teaching position in an Ivy League school, you would want to have a degree from an Ivy League school.

The other significant difference is in the cost.

This is ascertained from several people I know who attended Ivy League schools including teachers and professors.
