Why so much importance on LOOKS?
You are admiring a person because "his face shone like the full moon" (whatever that means)?
Other members have answered this, alhamdulilah.

Its very important in 'love' to know how your 'beloved' looks like and the more you know about someone, the more you tend to love them. For us to love our beloved, sallallahu alayhi wasallam, we should try and learn more about him, from the way he walked to the way he looked. A natural human instinct in 'falling' in love, the more you know about someone, the more you love them, the more you yearn for them.

The remark about "his face, full moon", its an expression used by one of the companions to show, how amazed he was, as oneday he came and saw the moon shiniing so bright, and then our beloved, sallallahu alayhi wasallam came out, and him, being the best of creation, the most beautiful, the most elegant, the most good looking, he was so amazed, the companion to find how bright, 'light' that prophet, sallallahu alayhi wasallam had on his face. And as one sister said, i suggest this to everyone, go tonight and look at the moon. How beautiful the sight is, and how bright it is, and how calm it is, and then imagine, for a moment, how bright, full of light, YOUR prophet, your leader, your friend was..

Its an expression of love, a expression for us, the far later lovers to know the beauty of the best of creation. Hope that helps answer your question, dear brother.

Regarding the Shamail.

Yes, that link is the book, online, i suggest everyone to purchase the book, have it in your house for barakah, and also for the benefit of reading it offline.

For UK people buy from azhar

For US people, buy from Al Rashad

You can read it online at Inter-Islam.org

Please download these talks by Shaykh Husain Abdul Sattar at SacredLearning.org

Its great to listen to it. Plus the shaykhs other reminders are fablous.

Plus, Shaykh Adhami also has some some talks on the Shamail, have a download of it from Sakeenah.org Its the third one down. I also suggest, download some of the other talks of the beloved shaykh, you wil be amazed at the knowledge and wisdom you shall learn.

As Shaykh Yacoubi said, there should be 4 books in everyone's home, and they were the best sellers in the muslim world before, they were Dailail al Khayrat, Qasidah Burdah, Ash-Shifa of Qadi Iyad, and Shamail Al Tirmidhi, and not your 'full sets of sahih bukhari, etc. He said, the books we have in our houses teach us more on how to 'rebel', whilst we lack so much in 'love'.

An important principle he stated was that "love is the key to obidence", lets increase our love for the most beautiful human, the most beautiful example we have.

JazakAllah for your responses and questions. May Allah lift our hearts with His love and the love of his beloved, ameen.
