depends where you will be but there is a huge Muslim community in Lusaka comprising mainly businesspeople of Asian origin. Unlike Malawi, there aren't many black Zambian Muslims and there is a need of daa'wa in that part of Africa. But Shia's are making inroads in the hinterlands.Muslims are primarily concentrated in areas along the railroad line from Lusaka to Livingstone, in Chipata, and in other parts of Eastern Province. Like I said, you are more likely to meet more Muslims in Mozambique and Zimbabwe than Zambia (in my opinion) and the few Muslims they have there are not that influential and it got worse during President Chiluba's tenure whereas in 1996 he amendment to the constitution declared Christianity to be the official religion of the country while upholding the right of all persons to enjoy freedom of conscience or religion. And last year the National Constitutional Conference adopted a clause in the draft constitution reaffirming the 1996 amendment.

I will check out with some of my contacts on the ground and will pass the numbers and details to you InshaAllah
