Scary one...did someone notice these legs?

That happens due to the mechanism by which the 'GigaPan' picture is taken. It is actually a collection of dozens of pictures taken sequentially which are stitched together. Since each picture is taken at a different point in time, if you have a moving scene (such as this one with people walking around, tawaaf, etc ..), such effects may show up in the final stitched result.
