One of many similar Hadith in Ihya Uloomud Deen, which seem to indicate the various stages a nation passes through before Allah's wrath is sent. All of us should ask ourselves at which stage we are at, before the disastrous calamities reach us:

The Prophet said,

“When your women will become disobedient, your young men will commit great sins, and you will give up Jihad; What will then be your condition?”

The companions asked, “Ya Rasulullah, will it happen? He said, “Yes, by One in whose Hand there is my life, a more serious thing than that will happen.” The companions asked, “What is that serious thing?”

He said,

“When you will not enjoin good and forbid evil; What will then be your condition?”

The companions asked, “Ya Rasulullah, will it happen? He said, “Yes, by One in whose Hand there is my life, a more serious thing than that will happen.” The companions asked, “What is that serious thing?”

He said,

“When you will take the good deeds as evil, and evil deeds as good; What will then be your condition?”

The companions asked, “Ya Rasulullah, will it happen? He said, “Yes, by One in whose Hand there is my life, a more serious thing than that will happen.” The companions asked, “What is that serious thing?”

He said,

“When you will be ordered to do evil things, and prohibited from doing good deeds; What will then be your condition?”

The companions asked, “Ya Rasulullah, will it happen? He said, “Yes, by One in whose Hand there is my life, a more serious thing than that will happen.” The companions asked, “What is that serious thing?”

Allah will say:

“I take oath by myself that I will create such disasters and calamities for them, in which those who are patient will be puzzled or perplexed.”
