Only if every muslim would have the Yaqeen of getting from the treasures of Allah through the 2 Raka's with sincerity, the All time number 1 taweez that the Sahaba used. If this Yaqeen was present then buzurgs would not even feel the need to give out these taweez etc. Before taking a taweez we should ask ourselves that will a taweez work more or doing Wudu and praying 2 rakats with khushu and then begging Allah will fullfill my need and provide me protection from whatever harm i seek refuge from.

totally agreed brother! i was researching regarding taweez and their permissibility and landed on this forum. In another forum i read posts by brothers regarding taweez and one of the brother was supporting "numerology" i.e numbers and grids in taweez with all kinds of explanation..but we know nowhere in the Quran or SUnnah its mentioned that numbers (even Ayah,Surah numbers) can be used as taweez. The biggest Shifa lies in the yaqeen on Allah(swt) and the quran. If you have memorized Ayat Al-kursi,Al-falak,An-Naas n other surahs then you dont need any taweez. Protection lies in the Dhikr ,remembrance of Allah(swt). Make salah regularly and follow the pillars of ISlam and InshAllah ..Allah will protect us and fullfill our needs and cure us. We dont need taweez with numbers and grids on them to protect us. No matter how much people try to defend taweez (the ones with numbers,grids) my self understanding n my conscience doesnt allow me to accept those. 2 taweez were given to me by one of my relative but i just didnt feel like wearing them by not knowing what ws inside.

Also even if there was nothing Haram about about these taweez...in my opinion and im talking in a general sense of things....sihr ,bidah do come in the form of taweez also. So people who are less aware about taweez may fal victim to "fake" ulema,peers etc. So dont u think brothers its better to avoid taweez instead of defending them with all kinds of explanations like one brother from another related forum.

So by my own understanding and by my own reading of Quran and my own faith in Allah(swt) his words in the Quran and through my faith in Prophet Muhammad's(pbuh) teaching.... and using my own brain which Allah(swt) has blessed me with...i chose not to put any taweez around my neck and instead make Dhikr,make wudoo,pray salah on time and recite Quran in my home. And i think this is a much simpler and effective approach rather than putting taweez. Brothers the Islam we practise should be simple and we should not try to make our Islam complex..lets not confuse ourselves ad follow a simple ad effective Islam. May Allah(swt) guide us to the correct path and protect us from shirk and Bidah.
