Assalamualaikum,

I hid something at home and now I don't know where it is - it has been a few months and I still can't recall where I could have put it - I may have used it also but I really don't think I did. What dua can I recite to find the misplaced item?

I believe there is a hadeeth that you should make salawat when you've forgotten something. Allahu a'lam though, inshAllah someone can paste the hadeeth. I've read this from salafi sources and they usually rely directly on saheeh hadeeth inshAllah...
