then again its not something which is agreed upon by all shafi's so it wouldnt be practiced upon in a hurry. when reading the sharh of a kitaab Mukaddimah Hadhramiya my teacher read that its sunnah however some ulama say that its bida'h. he just said Astaghfirullah. & didnt want to comment further. in these actions most shafi ulama over look them in the places that they are practiced but wouldnt teach them outside of those areas. it will thus be seen as more of a custom than anything from the deen.
