السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته و مغفرته

It's a question that I have had to battle with also. Many people ask if Allah SWT wanted men to circumcise why didn't He just create us without a foreskin?
And the question of child mutilation is actually quite a serious one in that there is no answer to it.

I agree with the brothers in that all we can say is that is the commandment of Allah SWT and we abide by it, even though that would puff up the person
who is asking the question. The only way to waive these questions is to as Brother Nomadic mentioned, to show the beauty of Islam and try to show them the
truth that way. Because questions like these can only be accepted if you believe in Allah SWT. As much as I hate to say it (because I like reasoning especially
laws of Allah SWT where the reasoning is there and we can understand it) reasoning doesn't work here and it is a case of total faith. The reasoning is something
beyond our understanding at this stage in time. Maybe one day as another brother mentioned, we will discover the foreskin has a role to play in developement
in the womb, Allahu A'lam.

EDIT: that is disgusting formatting, I must remember to remember that enter does not work on forums like it does in an email...
