Call me cynic but I am very skeptical about the Saudi regime's motive, i.e. tight control of charity donations.

Does the regime require charity money to help Syrian Muslims?

The Saudi regime has strictly forbidden any Ulama or private entity from collecting any donation for Syrian oppressed Muslims. Recently, prominent speaker Sheikh Al-Arifi was detained and interrogated by Mukhabarat for such activity.

They charity money will be used as a bargain chip! The only Syrian group which will be the beneficiary of the regime controlled money is the group favorable to US and Israel.

The regime is playing very clever here: killing two birds with a single stone. Keeping both its citizens and its Masters (Israel+US) happy!

So, it is better for Saudi Muslims not to be deceived by such devilish trick.

Note: it has been reported that the charity money collected by Saudi regime for the Chechen Muslims was handed over to Russian government controlled group there.
thats also possible.
