London786 saheb requested more information about the shaykh. I don't know much about him, having only seen him for the first time last month. But I found some talks of his on YouTube. Apparently he is involved in tabligh, and won the Quran competition in Mecca in '89. He used to live (or lives?) in Connecticut but is now teaching at Darul Uloom in NY? (Someone mentioned this in the masjid, but I'm not sure). He knows how to keep people interested; he's very funny
