During summer/Ramadhan Maghrib and Isha are combined so you open your fast and you read Maghrib then you stand up again and you read Isha, you then go home and come back after an hour or so and then read Taraveeh salah.
This I can accept it's not soemthing I would do but each to their own.
What I couldn't get my head round was the next part. was it raining. because then jam' could be made. i cant remember which madhab it is but if one has a very important job, like a doctor in surgery or even a baker then jam' could be made with your job being the excuse

Let's say you cannot make Jamaat for Maghrib/Isha and you read Maghrib at home you have also lost reading Isha in Jamaat so what you do is go to the Masajid and when the imam stands to read Taraveeh you stand behind him after the 2 rakaats of Taraveeh the imam ends his salah but at this point you stand up and continue with 2 more rakaats so the Imam has read 2 of Traveeh and you have read 4 fardh of Isha (2 of which have been in jamaat). this is acceptable in the shafi' madhab I know, i've seen people doing it.
