It is super hard but I've seen people go through it so it isn't impossible.

Most often advice I've heard is to ignore and as you've notice there wont be any reasonable answer. You'll come to know the truth of whatever you're thinking but the devil won't quit, he doesn't care about truth, just to implant doubt and block you from your quest.
