Asalamualaikum,
I was just wondering, is wearing the galibayah, turban, koofi, etc. an actual sunnah? Every Sheikh, Scholar, and your average muslim who goes to masjid for salah dresses accordingly. Is there some religious significance or do we just do it out of tradition maintaining the way the Prophet SWS and the Sahaba RA dressed. I usually just go to masjid in my best/nicest clothes like dress pants and button shirt.
