- i.e. it is a negative stereotype -

we should avoid saying things like that

it is better to say that you have noticed that 'many Gujeratis are racist',

but even saying this will probably cause racism against Gujeratis on those grounds, so there is sense in avoiding it.

racism breeds racism - it is like cancer

we have to be careful against allowing or encouraging racism - because it is so easy to fall into and is so divisive.
