As far as I know, all food served in PIA airlines is halal, doesn't matter where it departs from.

What I have been told is that when an airline is leaving from a non-Muslim destination, they supply it with the generic "halal" meat, which mostly means machine slaughtered or that meat which is imported from South America and is labelled halal (as is the case in the Middle East). So, there's no differentiation between meat that is hand slaughtered by a Muslim with the tasmiyah recited upon it (undoubtedly halal), machine slaughter where tasmiyah is said but dozens to hundreds of chickens are killed using a machine on the single tasmiyah (haraam), or meat slaughtered by hand in South America by non-Muslims which is labelled halal (haraam). Some Arabs and Arab-inclined scholars say that the latter two are also permissible, but many of us, especially non-Shafi'is, have a problem with both of them.

Although the latter may not be the case everywhere, especially where there is a high number of Muslims in a non-Muslim country who do not accept machine slaughtered meat. I am not sure but I think that may be the case in the UK.
