Well moving forward and backward at the time of memorizing qur'an is good , i have heard hifz becomes easy by this procedure thats why the students of madaris engaged in hifz have this habit, but for other people whose intention is only to recite qur'an shareef not to memorize it, moving forward and backward may have no benefit,
