Not sure why you feel the need to vent on such a minor issue and feel further that there is a need for 'a source' of proof of why people rock reading quran?

I find this strange when people look at others and make a judgement call on meaningless issues. One would look at people reading Quran and feel blessed to be in their presence as the mercy descents.

It is not a meaningless issue and I am not making a judgement call. This is the problem. If we have instructions on every aspect of the prayer then reading the Qur'an as elaborated in the Sunnah is important. You will get more blessing if you follow the Sunnah. Reading the Qur'an was done many times a day by the Prophet (saws) why not a single Hadith informing us to rock?
