Assalamu alaykum

In Makkah, the moon will be 11.7 hours old, but it will set 6 minutes after sunset.
However, it will not be possible to sighted after Makkah sunset, as the moon will be too close to the horizon (0.9 deg altitude) and the sun (7 deg elongation). Also, the phase of the moon will be so thin (0.4% illuminated) that it will be beyond the resolution of the human eye to sight it! But Super Human eyes will sight the moon even before sunset!!!!!

hence Eid-ul-Fitr is expected to be united on the same day on Sunday 19th August 2012, Insha-Allah. We heard of match fixing in cricket (pre-scripted results). Shortly we shall be witnessing moon-fixing. Or a Caesarean moon birth.

My guess is that, this is being done by people who have done iftaa from College of Business Administration of either London or Washington.
