Asalamalikum.

I was reading Fiqh al Akbar and and started reading Aqeeda Tahawiyya (both translated by Shaykh Yahya Ninowy)
They both seem similar? I mean, I'm confused lol.
And is it necesary to learn the Aqeedah Tahawiya with a scholar? And how exactly do you learn Aqeedah? I mean, I pretty much believe all those things I've read so far

yes its definitely beneficial to learn them from a scholar. otherwise you won't understand half of it. I'm telling you from experience. I recommend these two resources,they're both beautiful, but definitely a lot of overlap...pretty much the same:
