Dear Warea, very true! definitely agree with you on your words. thanks for finding these words to express what you have in mind.
there is no compulsion in Islam, according to the Quran.
we cannot force someone to cover her head, or serve his/her prayer. but we can teach them the love and fear of Allah, we can teach the Quran, beauty of Islam, and the great insirah Allah gives to hearts when you love and live by Islam.
ohhh islamdawa where to begin...the misinterpetation of "no compulsion in religion" or your idea of dawa.

"compulsion" here refers to forcing someone to have a certain beleif i.e. hindu, bindu, or muslim. NOT to hijab, attending masjid for salah or any other issue...also its funny that you mention forcing people to wear hijab/niqab when none of us have actually mentioned doing anything of the sort on this thread.

let me propose a question to you, harun yahya spreads islamic beliefs while still publically engaging in many sins. do you think this is a reasonable approach to dawa?

if so, then why didn't rasulullah engage in this sort of dawa? why didn't he too engage in the sins of the jahil arabs while just preaching islamic beleifs?????

do you see a problem with this model of dawa? dawa is an invitation towards islam/Allah, the message bearer is extremely important as well, because it influences how the message will be received there fore, messenger cannot be seen to act in contradiction to the message. thus if islam is the message, is not ridiculoius that the message bearer is openly acting in contravention to the message (sinning, dancing, really stretching the bounds of his relationship with the non-mahrams around him?, this man goes so far as to praise and compliment the female guests on his show as to their beauty...SERIOUSLY people we're muslims have some haya).

how can a messengewr with garbage akhlaq actually be a dai'ee?

seriously take a page from Dr. Zakir Naik's (hafithahullah) approach to dawa, he too has TV shows, but he doesn't present racy women in wearing 10kg of makeup in his shows, and neither does he dance and listen to music (modern hip-hop), the sort regarding which there is non scholarly difference on its impermissibility.

and after the love of Allah and beauty of Islam & the Quran fills in the heart of a person, then he or she will naturally start living by Islam. o basically you're saying that love of islam and the quran has not filled the heart of harun yahya right...otherwise he would be acting in accordance with the dictates of shariah (i.e. living by islam), right?
