Pakistan has airbases in the South being used by US/NATO - no doubt invited by the greedy and corrupt leadership of Pakistan. However, the single most important base in recent years in the Mideast has been Al Udeid airbase in Qatar. The US central-command for the mideast is based there. This is where they fought the Iraq war from and continue to run operations for Arabia, Gulf Region and the Sea of Oman. They were invited there by the Qatari leader.
