Sorry if this sounds self-righteous, but I never learn Islam / Deen from the Internet, for ex. this forum itself, have never and will never inshaAllah, if I ever come across any new stuff, I get it confirmed by seasoned Scholars.

Pluto, I appreciate your efforts here, and I think you have made some really good points in your post, but I wanted to comment on your statement that I have quoted. While I agree with you that facts and information should be checked for accuracy, and there is a great deal of misinformation floating around, not everyone has the benefit of studying Islam with a scholar outside of the internet. Some people live in remote locations. (I never cease to be surprised at how far reaching the internet is, located in even the remotest and more surprising of locations.)
