My GF was just chrismated a few weeks ago after over a year attending services as a lapsed Presbyterian. Perhaps it's a Russian thing, akin to the part of the service where you bow down to the statue of Putin?

Seriously, all you have to do is avoid taking communion, since we understand that to be a sign of full dogmatic agreement. Otherwise it's all good. This thread is misnamed, though. Not that I mind. I only clicked out of morbid curiosity, to see what the justification was for restarting a locked-down thread...
