Favorite Horror/Thriller Movies
It's that time of the season. What are your favorite horror films?
Texas Chainsaw Massacre - Amazing work of art. Suspense at it's best.
TCM (2003) - A fresh awakening for the series.
TCM: The Beginning - A little too gory for me. Honestly it was disgusting.
Hellraiser - This movie is terrifying and was top notch for its time. I'm working on watching the rest of the series.
House of 1000 Corpses & The Devils Rejects - I really liked these movies. Rob Zombie is an interesting director. I haven't seen his spin on Halloween yet, but hope to.
Saw (series) - I'm not sure if this is a horror movie but I'm putting it in there. 1 is still the best in my opinion, although 5 helped tie up the confusion and really delivered.
Nightmare on Elm Street (series) - What can you say? Freddy is awesome...and scary!
Silence of the Lambs/Hannibal/Red Dragon - Suspenseful and really keep you on on the edge of your seat. I love this series.
One thing I notice when looking back on the older, redefining horror films is that they scare you! Horror films today really don't give you that feeling anymore. It's a shame since over the top gore is thrown into everything now. If you look back, that wasn't the case. It's all about suspense dammit!
