I admit that that's mostly true - I doubt, for instance, if any of the great "devout" girls who vote there actually wear the Hijab - but it's the
attitudes
that worry me. Even if it's one in a hundred who thinks like this, that one is a person who can be swayed by non-Indian co-religionists into taking part in anti-national activities.
For instance, the organisation called SIMI (The Students' Islamic Movement of India) started out fine and moderate, but slid into extremism, to the point where they started providing logistical support to terrorists. These attitudes, even if shared only by one in a hundred, can lead to SIMI-like problems.
