These dreams are teaching you that nothing and no one is more powerful than the light. During the dream you are merged with your higher self / Over soul this is why even when you felt fear you were able to gain back some control as your higher self calmed you through the experience. It is teaching you throughout.

There are many dark souls being collected at present they are being housed in the astral plane and will remain there for many many years to come. You see as we have entered the new age only souls who have chosen to return to the light will be reincarnating.
