Maybe I have my time frames mixed up, but didn't Islam start about 500 years AFTER Christ? So it started in your Era of Heaven analogy, not the hell era.

Yes, that pilgrimage to Medina (the Hijra) was in 622 A. D. That is when the Islamic calendar begins.
