Cogs, I'm glad you brought that up. I hear it a lot....that the Babylonians not only engineered cows from aurochs (how is your auroch, by the way?) but also that our particular species of homo sapiens was also genetically engineered by them back then too.

Now it's one thing to make a more milkable auroch (aka cow). It's quite another to mess with the human genome.

Can you tell me if there is evidence extant for the latter (I know about the aurochs) other than a literal interpretation of Sumerian/Akkadian mythology. This ought to be checkable through the study of genetics and palaeontology.
