Default Dreams of Venus and Saturn
Last night, I asked Spirit to show me the true nature of the universe. This was prompted by our discussions with Cropredy about his vision of its nature and structure. He has been reluctant to produce pictures to illustrate his views, and I can understand why. The whole nature of the universe is multi-dimensional and fluid and even the most talented of artists have never been able to come anywhere close to depicting it, nor the most fluent poets to describing it.

Of course, there is a view of the universe that science gives us too. But it is dead, lifeless, from only a human perspective (not holistic) and limited by the imagination of science. In addition, scientists’ logic and conclusions on this subject are predicated on a series of uncashed cheques. In other words, when a theory doesn’t quite work (such as the Big Bang theory), science comes up with another theory (the cosmic inflation theory) to make it work. So you see, these are just theories that support theories that support theories and so on. I’m not saying it’s entirely useless. But I would rather get my information on the nature and form of the creation from the loving entities that were here before it even began.

So I will try to describe some of my experiences last night and even this morning … they’re all around me, at the moment. I only have to shut my eyes and they’re there. I’m being told by the excellent astrologer, Peter Stockinger, that this is because I have Venus and Saturn quite amazingly aspected with one another in my birth sign today and, as we know, Venus is Ishtar.

So my intention on this shamanic journey was contained in the following question: “Please show me the true nature and form of the universe.”

I journeyed up and up for ages, it seemed, and I think I must have reached the highest levels of the Upper World....certainly higher than I've ever been before, anyway. It went on for so long that I was began to lose my concentration, but I came to very quickly when a man’s face came hurtling towards me, very fast, and very determined, and only stopped just short of ‘me’. I almost pulled back and for the first time ever on a journey, I felt fear … or possibly more... trepidation. I felt like a tiny, insignificant human being that had possibly gone too far. If I’d had a voice, it would have wobbled. It felt like one hell of a nerve and my ego was going: “Who are you to ask such a question?” But that’s just the ego and you have to ignore it because, in truth, we are in these human bodies to ask such questions.

The visions since then have been unfolding during the last 12 hours. Some were given instantly and some came in my dreams and one of them was given by waking me up in the middle of the night and showing me. The spirits often do this when they want me to remember a dream. It’s no good giving me a vision in the middle of the night when I’m in my deepest sleep, because it will be well forgotten by the morning. One particular spirit guide has a habit of blowing in my left ear when he wants to me to wake up and this happened last night. I woke up to see the following movie on my ceiling, and now comes the impossible bit of trying to describe it.

First of all, I was shown a moving night-time celestial panorama that was latticed and studded with stylised stars, in the form of jewels. This is quite good for showing the latticing, and all that’s missing is the stylised jewels to represent the stars which would be between the latticework. And please remember, the whole panorama is moving.

After a while, we zoomed out from this vision and then, of course, I could see that it was an egg, and just like a Faberge egg.

In fact, Faberge, just before died, designed and half finished his Constellation Egg, and this is what it looks like.

However, we can see from the original drawings that it would have mounted differently, and at the same angle as Atlas’s celestial globe or Cosmic Egg, which was surely an inspiration for Faberge.

Faberge’s drawing of the Constellation Egg

The Farnese Atlas ~ a 2nd-century Roman marble copy of a Hellenistic sculpture of Atlas kneeling with the globe or egg weighing heavily on his shoulders. It is said to be the oldest known artistic representation of the celestial sphere or Cosmic Egg, although the Cosmic Egg is talked about at length in the Vedas and ancient Egyptian mythology which are thousands of years older.

Now I've love to be able to say that next, the egg cracked open, like this:

…because I think this picture is such a wonderful metaphor.

But the Cosmic Egg didn’t break open ~ it unfolded or unfurled like a Persian carpet. And then I could see the inside of the egg, and this will be almost impossible to describe, except that when I saw it, I realised where Hieronymus Bosch got his inspiration for The Garden of Earthly Delights.

It was like that, but it wasn’t like that, and no artist, poet or film maker that I know of has ever been able to express the beauty of this flowing, fluid, golden yolk, teeming with myriad life and all interweaving and interchanging along the golden flows that fell like waterfall in places and were rushing rivers of molten gold in others. I’m assuming that these are the flows that cropredy talks about: the flows that create and maintain the whole geometry inside the Cosmic Egg which, as cropredy rightly says, is a closed system.

Cropredy also talks about branching. I was next taken to see the World Tree. I have seen this several times before and it is HUGE … You have to be a long way back to see all of it and even then, you can’t see the top or the roots. It is even bigger than the one in this picture,

This is the same World Tree which is mentioned is so many stories from ancient cultures, one famous one being Yggdrasil, the Norse World Tree. I like this modern interpretation of Yggdrasil, because it also shows the Egg.

It is called the World Tree, but by "World", the ancients didn't mean just the Earth. They meant the whole creation. And so we would just be a tiny dot on this World Tree, if you could even see us at all. After all, the World Tree permeates the Upper, Middle (of which Earth is a part) and Lower worlds. That's how big it is.

But it is from the World Tree that all the branching comes: the branching of rivers, the branching of lightening (the midwife of creation), the branching of arteries and veins in animal and plant life, even the branching of our own small Earthly trees, and right up to web of galaxies forming our universe.

I once read a critique of Carlos Castenada that he must have made up his Mexican nagual shaman, Don Juan, because Don Juan never say anything new or original and his teachings were “so derivative of shamanic teachings worldwide.” But isn’t that just the point? Spirit doesn't change its message according to time and place. This is a timeless vision because it exists outside of Time.

So similarly, with this post, I haven’t brought anything new or original to a subject that has been told about in mythology for thousands of years, and whose imagery has inspired so many artists and sculptors. Probably that’s why Faberge eggs are so desired by royalty ~ apart from their beauty (which even then, doesn’t come anywhere close to the real thing) they are probably also subconsciously regarded as power objects, given that they are a symbol for the whole universe.

And also as a side note, this is what I always point out when scientists complain that shamanic practises are not repeatable and thus not testable. They are eminently repeatable and they are repeated over and over and over again in the stories of the ancients throughout millennia. But what they can never describe, and neither can I, is the tremendous and almost overwhelming Beauty and Love that permeates it All.
