i did have an experience a few weeks ago that related to this thread - one i haven't had (or wasn't consciously aware of) before.

basically i had entered an extremely relaxed meditative state, better than i had been able to achieve in months.

its difficult to express in words, but i had that "drawing away" sensation all through my body and could feel it even in my face and head (i just love it!) with eyes closed and centered, there was a point where i wasn't seeing with my eyes anymore (for lack of better words) and a bright light came into "sight". when i tried to focus on it with my eyes, it dissapated, and feeling came back. this happened four times in the same session, but i was never able to get past observing the light.

so, this might have been third eye activation. or, and i believe this is likely the case, i was just prior to an obe, but because i wanted to "see with my eyes", i wasn't able to leave. again, very difficult to explain, but not on the original list of phenomena that i provided.

i really can't say whether my third eye is open or activated or not - i don't really know what third eye vision is like, or at least cannot describe it. however, i can relate to the heightened sensitivity or esp that supposedly accomodates third eye activation...

in the end, these subjective experiences are very difficult to explain using words. in both threads its nice to see many others who are experiencing similar things. :d
