hey janet, and group-
yes, indeedy! isn't it fun to use our god-given gifts, especially when you factor in the "sharing with others" part of it? oh my, another ra-ism- swo! i began playing the bass guitar a-way back in jr. hs, and by my first year of college, had become imbedded in a huge band like yours- an 8 piece mega-production, called "taurus." at that time, we had the drummer, #1 trombone, #2 and #1 trumpet players in the baldwin wallace college's jazz-band, plus a marvel on keyboards, with the "flying leslies and all, who also played sax, a lifetime-committed guitar player, a lead singer who was just as at home doing opera, and me, who couldn't read a lick of music off a sheet, and still can't today, but oh my god, could we do the "chicago," "bs&t," "lighthouse;" anything with brass in it! and if it didn't, we put it there! the only recording that i ever had of us, which we did in a studio, i transfered to an 8-track tape- hey, that was hi-tech back then, but it got ripped-off from my car along with the player while we were doing a gig somewhere in the cleveland area. big bummer- or i could make a copy for you and send it along for you to figure out what to do wit it!
you've really got the j-airplane sound down, and the southern rock stuff is as good, or better than the originals, keep workin' on the "janis j." it'll come.
remember me telling you a few days ago about my dream about getting called to show-up at a gig in baton rouge, and worrying about how i was ever going to be there and still drive the train? wierd, huh?
i would normally say hey, rob, too, but i guess it's now like by, rob- dude, ya really blew it! rock-on, baby doll!
bob
