There is a confusion in the whole episode.
Sundarar has lived in the 8th century AD and he has visited Tiruvanchikulam along with Cheraman.
The mosque is suppose to have been constructed in 7th Century AD and it is the first mosque in India.
Rama Varma Kulasekara was the last chera king who has lived in 11th/12th century. He is suppose to have converted to Islam and constructed the mosque

Sekkizhar wrote Periapuranam in 12th Century and his work is suppose to be the history of all the 63 Saiva Saints.

Only historians can declare which is correct.
