Venkatramani, in India caste based politics works out very effectively,but not the religious one.BJP is an utter failure and has only helped sonia shining . Any idea why Indians dont favour religous parties?

Even caste based politics is not shining. Mulayam Singh Yadav, Lallu Yadav, Mayavathi, Ramadoss are all going down. Last Loksabha election is the best example.

With overall literacy going up, performance based politics only will survive in the future.
