nice thread , hope this will awaken ppl to pay more attention to the vedas , i read somewhere that srimad bhagavatha we have today is not the real one , but that coz of its lack of use by foreigners the srimad devi bhagavatham has been preserved fairly well and is ancient too ....there is a lot of polluted stuff in the rest , accumulated over years of foreigner rule ,

this also proves the genius of our ancestors in the way they preserved vedic knowledge thru a rigorous method of chant and learn ....

it also calls the bluff of those who culd not meddle with that part of our literature whose transfer between generations was predominantly an oral tradition and not written ...
