ToI in its trademark brain dead style had asked asked Tyrewala to write a short piece titled " Does the success of Maqbool mean the Indian filmviewer has ciome of age".
It's surprising that ToI, the largest selling "tabloid" in the print media even took the pains to ask the scriptwriter for his opinion on a film that doesn't star the top names in Bollywood. In their rush to praise 'Black', a much better, and perhaps the best hindi movie of 2005, 'Page 3' was completely ignored. What else can one expect from a newspaper that gave 5 stars to 'KKKG'?!

That aside, I remember reading that 'Maqbool' was a project that Vishal Bharadwaj had in mind for a long time. Just wondering, why he made the insipid 'Makdee' when he had such a beautiful project in mind!

I also recommend 'Hazaron Khwaishen Aisi' if you have missed it.
