If the Blacks and the latinos had a chance to be fully integrated into the USA WASP society would they renounce their traditions and ethnic tribalism?

I hope this does not offend anyone. I wonder if the Latinos living in America and the AfroAmericans, only those no integrated (the ones that claim to be victims of racism) would renounce to their traditions and tribalism and accept the White American culture and it implications:

• Hard work
• No alcohol
• No socialist programs
• English language with no slang
• No more ethnic associated acts like: Black Panthers, Raça, Chicano associations, Black Associations, etc.
• No promiscuity
• Social Responsibility
• No rhythmic music: Hip-hop, Salsa, Bamba, Rap, etc.
• Not more ethnic ties to other blacks, africans or latinamericans.
• Capitalist mentality,
• No more vices
• Change the surname

I know some people is already integrated and have no problem, this question is directly to the non integrated ones.
Question is directed to the non assimilated pockets and the FOB.

No, because the Protestant churches are mostly self-segregated. The Roman Catholic church may or may not help Latinos to integrate. Someone more familiar should respond to that.

Also I think you are going too far painting white American society as something angelic. No vices, WTF, half of the white people would quit being white under those conditions.

I say no. I'd rather be deported (even though I can trace my mother's side of the family all the way back to the early 1800's in the USA) than give up my ethnic identity. Without it I just wouldnt be me.

Plus some of those requirements in order to be American are a bit silly. I doubt even white Americans fit those standards you describe. Also you left out Asian Americans.

Alcohol has been in English Protestant society here since the 1600's. A lot of the founding fathers distilled whiskey. Then they started using corn in place of wheat, and that is how Kentucky Bourbon and Tennessee Whiskey was born.

Southern Baptists and some other mainly white denominations are anti-vice, but this is also true of Missionary Baptists and other mainly black denominations. The reality is many people are not bound by what their church tries to impose, as far as extramarital sex, alcohol, drugs, gambling, etc.

Catholics, I'm sure you know they drink like fish.

Screw that, yankees invaded and still couldn't assimilate southerners into their culture. Also, fairly speaking I don't think there is that much of an idyllic WASP culture up north either. Wickedgirl is from New England. I'd like to hear what she says about it. I have known many Catholics of various ethnicities from that area and no WASP purity rubbed off on them for sure.

For some reason Mormons do it so good because they dont drink alcohol and follow church rules.

I know but it not something considered cool for the average American. for some reason they analyse the personal lives of the job applicants, the do screenings and check the facebooks accounts.

What is the popular opinion when someone have extramarital sex, do drugs or gambling?

I know in some companies they take blood samples or hair samples in order to check if the person has consumed THC (Marihuane),
