Can you give some video links showcasing these examples of urban white trash?I have much experience with the tradtitional,rural kind of white trash,but little with urban white trash.

These urban white trash are not homeless people however,right?

nothing about this is "white trash" just because country people do things differently than in the city doesn't make them any lesser of a person. white trash is what it is, a term to belittle poor whites and stereotype them. in the same way assuming that everyone in the ghetto is a gang member/drug dealer and is uneducated and abuses the welfare system. not every white person living in a trailer park or in the country go around beating their wives and smoking meth and things like this or is an ignorant racist. you've been watching too much of the movie deliverance if you believe this.

don't confuse being country with being white trash. there is a difference. you can't pidgeon hole whole groups of people.

Known a lot of country people and out of a thousand I'd say 200-300 tuck in their shirts, say Yes Sir and and Yes Mam, and actually adhere to their touted values and are virgins at 19-22 when they marry. The rest are about as vile and stereotypical white trash as they're stereotyped as, though I will give them this, they aren't as bad in their faults as urban white trash are, though the country white trash are becoming urbanized so it's almost a non issue really.

I think "white trash" ultimately are resented because they are unprincipled. A poor family that strives at least a little for virtue wears that worth. Abandoning hope in goodness relegates a life to a type of poverty that is difficult to relate to by most people. The outer signs of this spiritual poverty are unattractive to the sensibilities of the more sophisticated, WHO, TOO, are apt to judge what they cannot understand without much understanding or compassion, themselves.

I guess this would be called a "kind," optimistic assessment.

I have, from a short distance, watched a financially successful family of a rural white patriarch melt down into trashdom in 2-3 generations. All it takes is one bad daughter to start banging local losers and popping out kids to get the cycle going.

yes, and i've lived around them for my entire life. tucking in their shirts and staying a virgin into their early twenties is how you decide who is and who isn't white trash? in that case the vast majority of people in this country fit that bill.

if you really really believe that everyone or even a slight majority in the country is out drinking uncontrollably and popping oxycontin in between beating their wives and illegitimate children then that tells me you really don't have alot of experience with that group.

i grew up in between living in the city and living in the country, in communities of less than 500 people and in my experience i have seen alot less drug use or wild and "vile stereotypical" behaviour than you have.

To be honest I had not even read responses in this thread, I will have a look what yoou wrote.

I agree. I haven't even really started talking about Euro trash yet though Kwestos so you'll just have to be patient.

Ok, my response was a sarcastic comment on top-elites who I consider more 'white trash' than alcoholics from trailers.

Actual trailer parks aren't the most common thing to find in rural areas. Actually what you'll see driving through the rural US is more like this:

Hundreds of acres of land, some being farmed, some forested etc.

Often one big ass mansion, belonging to the patriarch / landowner

Maybe 1 or more respectable looking homes nearby, usually the successful and productive children of the patriarch

Some smaller homes or trailers, either for hired help or less successful family members

The really trashy rural configuration is like one small parcel of land carved out in the middle of some rice farm etc. there will be an abandoned trailer rusted and collapsing, next to it a relatively newer trailer inhabited... yard has cars, tractors, detached beds of pick up trucks, maybe an old school bus, some old home appliances...

I was up on the Cumberland Plateau a couple of weeks ago and saw some shit I wish I had a picture of.

It was an old Nissan Sentra, with the driver's side window missing. Dude had sealed it up with plastic and duct tape, a pretty neat job actually, and had a rectangular port hole cut in it so he could see better. Hilarious.

Anyway these housing and car examples are cosmetic. The lifestyle issues are more significant. Take for example a guy who works at the only big employer in town, some assembly plant. He will have an accident at work, fail the drug test, then never be able to find decent employment again, because he isn't even willing to leave the area. Another example, young woman gets knocked up, has a baby... she comes from a good two-parent family with means. They put her up in a house or decent trailer. They try to help her raise the kid. They send her to school to learn a trade. She fucks up at school, decides she isn't interested in that trade, cycles through more loser boyfriends and pops out more kids, maybe marry some guy like unemployed dude above... mooch off the family and collect welfare too. Eventually the patriarch dies, these losers burn through their inheritance quickly... by this point the third generation is popping out their own kids, but grandpa isn't around to save the day. This is when they become multi-generational white trash and move into some trailer park.

Seen a great deal of this yeah. Girl from good family gets preg from white trash, (though she herself has become white trash in her connection to him, so really more her losing her class, Grats to white trash guy!!! get's to leech off her parents for their kid!!!), has the kid EVERY time, never aborts or takes pill next day, then it goes much as you say. The kids grow up hearing how their mom ruined her life, they hate society for that, become even more white trash than their parents, rinse and repeat.

In short, we've basically described your average white racist (i.e., Papa Anodyne).
