To me it would be:

drugs (crystal meth, weed, alcoholics by 16)

snuff/dipping

Zero need for big truck though they are driving one anyways you fucking pussy

grew up around alcohol abuse

their 16 year old best friend, cousin, or close someone just died in an alcohol-related collision and you just don't understand how it is

the concept of alcohol abuse is nonexistent to them, again, you just don't understand

always in some insanely physically abusive relationship that nobody understands according to them

pro working class though staunchly against any policy that helps working class

regressive socioeconomic habits; they complain about being misunderstood then turn around and fulfill all their stereotypes but of course you still just don't understand

their child support order and domestic abuse restraining order is unfair and is a conspiracy against them but they have better values than you in case you needed to be reminded again

Don´t forget they live in trailer parks and sport mullets.

every WT has a kiddy pool in their yards, usually filled with the most vile disgusting sludge imaginable.

Yeah that's the most distinguishing trait of any white trash. The ability to become enraged at any perceived "misunderstanding" of them by someone when usually it's the white trash person who misunderstood the other person. I'm used to the "country" white trash not the urban kind and they're all under the impression that they're these mannered, cultured types. They're so far from that yet they have no idea. We're talking chronic alcoholics by age 16, drug problems, tramp stamps or horribly placed tattoos that ensure they'll never have job that pays taxes, and yes they all have some universal set of trash-themed music that they see as critical to their lifestyle.

IMO, people are people. You either have "home training" or you don't. Your address and ethnicity has nothing to do with it.

If you're Europid, impoverished and backward with no demonstrable power, then yes you could be classified as white trash, unless you live contentedly in your traditional land. Extra points if you're also an addict of some kind.

The rural ones are. The urban ones are usually more democratic save for they still have all the traits of the rural white trash (heroin instead of crystal meth, beat up cars instead of trucks, irreligious instead of religious). Urban white trash aren't religious and aren't traditional so in most cases they're usually worse than rural white trash because of that though it's all pretty debatable in the end. People respect the rural white trash a little more because they have always been white trash in a rural hick sort of way. Urban white trash have no traditional roots, they're completely foundation-less whereas with rural white trash you can actually go to their small town and see that "oh, yeah okay, everyone here is white trash and has been as a way of life for the last ten or so generations." whereas obviously with the urban white trash that isn't the case.

thats what i dislike about the term. not everyone living in a trailer park is "white trash". not everyone in a trailer park is even white. i know alot of blacks and mexicans (mostly mexicans) who live in trailer parks too. its more of a state of mind as well. its the white version of being "ghetto" is the way i'd put it.

Go to any major U.S. metro area. The surrounding five to ten miles is usually white trash save for small areas of wealthy non-commuters. Anyone who's become white trash from the suburban middle class would also fall under this "urban" white trash label, even though they might be from a surrounding suburbia.

I'm talking about the difference between rural hicks who drive around in trucks and chew tobacco and go to bars or just drink in open out in the country by a river as they have for generations compared to urban/suburbanite trash that use oxy, inject, are more ghetto, and adopt more urban (meaning more non white in this context though not in negative way) types of hobbies such as baggy pants, emphasis on "welfare" instead of acknowledging their own choice in their lifestyles of abuse such as the more hick-country types have. That's all I meant. The two groups basic activities are the same. Drugs, alcohol abuse, broken family, inability to rationalize other classes thought processes. One is more traditional and traditionally disenfranchised, the other more baseless and material based and prone to demand the other classes "stop being mean and help them" whereas the hick types essentially accept their lifestyle and see it as valid and reject ideals of welfare.
