Default If jessica alba was from ireland, scotland, or wales
with no mention of her ethnic heritage. Would it change your perception of her? would you just think she was a woggish brit not mixed raced? i'm just using her as an example.

I don't really think about her.

But yes, she doesn't look like she's from those areas. But maybe my perception is skewed...

No. My perception of a person doesn't change on something so meaningless as their ethnic background or country of origin. Does yours?

I think she means would you see her as the race she is...if that makes sense.

Basically would you question if she were mixed or pure Irish/British/Welsh.

If Lil Wayne claimed to be 100% Swedish I wouldn't question it.

I ask because the location of place of origin can change people's perception of an individual. Just like if Catherine Zeta Jones was American or Latin American, how many would see her as part Amerindian or part Black?

jessica alba could never fit in scotland or wales. if she was from one of those countries we'd probably be debating even more about her racial identity, and whether she had some gypsy or arab ancestry.

the mexican in her is very noticable imo. i could never see her as just white.

The only thing that Jessica Alba brings to mind is terrible acting.

If I saw her walking through a country village, I would say that she was a tourist. If I saw her in a city, I'd say that she was a mixed native.

Maybe not her, but it definitely does affect the perception of others knowing the nationality or ethnic background of a person.

I think I've said it before here. I could post numerous pictures of Latin-Americans that are relatively recent immigrants or of a single non-American background and people will still find the amerindian/afro in them.

She would pass in Scandinavia (especially Sweden) as a mixed native.

I wonder if people's perception though would be different if she really was hailing from ireland, scotland, and wales. i could imagine some would say she was a woggled brit or the product of the spanish armada.

^ No, because she doesn't look fully Caucasoid. She doesn't look like a dark European.
