A political incorrect video, but explained by a doctor..
At the beginning of the 19th century, Haiti was a prosperous, successful land with french inheritance. It had no reasons to envy New York about life expectancy, culture and welfare state. Haiti was appointed by the genious men by then like the american France, appealing to a lot of people willing to learn in such a rich place. ![]() However the ideas of French Revolution about "everyone is equal" were widespread around Haiti... even among black slaves from fields. Therefore, slavery was abolished in the same way it was abolished in England. But unlike England, Blacks were the majority of the population of Haiti. The country catered them for everything they could need, including thousands of books and the knowledge inherited by their old owners. Blacks, however, were reluctant to progress in spite of having had the best of western culture given for free. Finally, the Blacks took over the country taking advantage of that they were a majority.... and a bloody hunt began. All Frenchs, men, women and children, were killed in the most brutal ways while arsons were spread along libraries and museums. What was envied by everybody, it soon turned into anarchy and disorder. ![]() Anyway, the USA thought Haiti was capable of coming back to its glorious years yet. In that way, before the First World War, the USA took over Haiti. Peace had return again. The Army came up with the idea of building hospitals, schools, roads and catering for the local population for telephones. That plan seemed to work. And it worked, more or less, untuil the USA left Haiti 20 years later... then, the jungle returned again. Misery and violence. However, the USA gave Haiti a second chance in the sixties. Trying to stop communist ideas spreading, they took over Haiti again. This time, bedises of the building of physical centers, they made sure the local haitians had the scientist knowledge to be ruled by themselves: Medicine, Engineery and so on. The plan was not supposed to fail. It was perfect. But it failed: as soon as the USA left the island, Blacks chose their blood flowing along streets instead of progress, peace and normal life. ![]() |

Germany,UK,etc are already developed, the countries I mentioned are developing. Did you read what I wrote? ![]() By the way, nobody gave away the development to United Kingdom, Germany or Japan. It a matter of being available, firstly, and making an effort, secondly. |

I can say this: giving up on Haiti or totally losing faith in it will not help Haiti one bit.
I think opinions like the one alluded to in this thread are opinions made "outside the box," as the saying goes. When you get in the box and see that the causes of the disorganization are so very human and associated with such great pain and anguish, then a healthier understanding occurs. Suffering can be relieved by applying a healthy understanding to a problem. And the relief of suffering should be every decent man's aim for others. Just my opinion. |

If you cannot understand English spoken, you have the video with subtitles in Spanish: ---------- Post added 2012-06-30 at 15:07 ---------- Also many Haitians have migrated outside haiti and they become doctors, loyals etc. The problem is Haiti's government itself and not its people. |

Cinderella! Look what this African immigrants with low IQ did in America. Nobody is denying a Black is capable of having a 120's IQ; at least studies show is not impossible: ![]() But it depends on the context. For example, it is not the same to be brought up in Staten Island or the Bronx. In the first case, he could be a successful people like the ones you show. But in the second case, he could refuse to use his intelligence and hang around with people with an IQ lower and do "the same stupid things". By the way, I would like to deal with something not related with the nervous systems: testosterone, maybe higher in Blacks (which can make them more violent...). |
