Default Why Would anyone invest in MJD?
HE has 2 years left on his deal after a huge signing bonus. Makes like $5 mil a year the next 2 years. He's holding out and asking for a trade.

Not only will you lose draft picks to get him, but he will likely end up being paid top 5 RB money at the age of 27.

He's barking up the wrong tree IMO. The league has really cracked down on paying for RBs, or giving a fuck about them. Jaguars have almost no reason to pay him again. They aren't gonna get what they should in a trade either because he still needs to get paid. Probably end up with a 2nd, or 3rd at best.

My thoughts exactly. It seems you can plug any odd mother fucker behind a decent offensive line and get good results, so his holding out is pretty dumb.

Saw people talking about how he'd be amazing on the Lions. Sure he would. We need a RB with these skills. Best actually has them, but has a liquid brain. Sproles, Bush, etc. would all be great. Best/LeShoure in theory is a great combo and the one we need, but guess what? We pulled Kevin Smith off the scrap heap and he looks perfectly fine in the role.

PRoblem is you can't bend over and pay a guy like this in this situation. If you want to sign one at a reasonable FA salary sure. This way not a chance. You add a guy like this and that salary when you already need to pay CJ, Stafford, and Suh it is an absurd thought process. MJD isn't gonna win them a title either most likely. So it is a pointless addition to strap the team financially when we have 3 other, younger guys we need to always pay.
