Default Cowboys and Redskins get dismissed...LOL
Breer@AlbertBreerPer sources, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones & Redskins GM Bruce Allen stated their case on the cap matter to a 2-per-club owners session this AM.

Breer@AlbertBreer. Dallas & Washington were then dismissed from the meeting, so the other 30 clubs could discuss the legalities of the pending arbitration.

I find it funny that they made their case and the owners told them thats nice now get the fuck out so we can decide punishment.. Even though technically they didnt do anything wrong.

the penalties are what the skins and cowboys are fighting. their case is going to be heard at a later date by an arbitrator. those tweets are meaningless.

They are going to an arbiter.

I think it the same guy who favored the owners during the lockout.

You expected them to let the Cowboys/Redskins stay while they discussed the issue? That is kind of funny.

Youre right, just voting to impose the penalty...

seems like a silly vote since the penalty was already handed out.

I think it's funny, that even with the Cowboys and the Redskins ignoring the non-existent cap, that their teams still sucked. Maybe this is finally the proof the casual moron fans need to know that a Cap is a stupid idea, who's only goal is to keep the owners rich. Of course we are dealing with a group of people(fans) who are spoon fed news through through sports writers(the only profession that likes to actively brag that they refuse to learn once they get the job).

I hate the Redskins, and the Cowboys, and they are 100% getting shafted here.

Face it. We casual morons are a bunch of sheep and will never be able to think for ourselves. Our thoughts and opinions are strictly formed by the likes of Skip Bayless. We are hopeless.

It wouldn't surprise me. There are people who think that Eli Manning is a good quarterback, that Tebow doesn't actively suck, heck that Joe Namath is really a deserving hofer, or the real evidence of stupidity, think that Peyton Manning isn't a great quarterback, because he only has one superbowl ring. Stupid people abound, and get face time in the sports world. And the stupider the thought, the more people tend to believe it sometimes.

Salary cap is a bad idea, that hasn't introduced parity in the nfl, it's only purpose is to give the owners more money, no matter which sport implements it. It's a simple solution for a complex problem, and it doesn't solve the problem. People jump on it like it's done something good for the sport, and yet 10 out of the last 11 years the patriots, steelers or colts have been in the superbowl.

Including that the Patriots, Steelers and Colts have been in 10 out of the last 11 superbowls?
I throw facts out there so you can't disagree with everything.

Salary caps don't help parity, football parity hasn't really changed with the salary than before it had the salary cap, most of the illusion of parity is the result of a large pool of post season teams.

Oh I saw that but youre disregarding the fact that maybe, just maybe mind you, those teams drafted really well, developed their own players and have/had really good coaching staffs. Youre whining about parity and I dont understand because in football you never really know whos going to win it all. Getting rid of the salary cap would be disastrous for your parity rant. Thats when teams like the Redskins and Cowboys would literally ruin Free Agency and turn football into Baseball..

Ya know, where the Yankees and Red Sox are front runners every year and no one gives a shit about the Royals.

If "parity" means a changing cycle of teams in a championship game, then you are correct.
But parity is about the talent gap between the best team and the worst team, and how quickly that gap can be overcome via the rules.

A team in the NFL is more likely to go from worst to first than a team in MLB-- in fact, I think the NFC South has a strong tradition of it.
So no, a salary cap doesn't in and of itself make a badly run team get better...But it makes it easier for a bad team with a smart GM to bridge that gap quickly, while also bringing about the eventual decline in talent of the top teams.

Where would a small market team like the Colts be without a salary cap? Nice try but your point undermines your argument.
