Seriously?

You want to put Eli's 2011 season up against Peyton's?

Eli is better.

If you want to start a team and you can start with either one, you would take Peyton?

Good luck.

Eli is better.

You are letting your hate of the Giants cloud your judgement.

Eagles' fans are funny.

maybe the Niners but he will lose at Lambeau in the playoffs.
If the Packers weren't 2 and 4 in their last 6 playoff games at Lambeau, there might be some validity to this statement.

For some folks, no matter what, the "who's a better QB" discussion will always start and end with the number of rings each has on their finger.

Therefore, for these people........

is somehow

Eli v. Peyton is not a comparable argument to Marino v. Dilfer.
No, but I still will say that if you give me a choice of an *in their prime* Eli vs. Peyton I wouldn't hesitate to take the elder.

I don't see much of a difference, Peyton/Marino are arguably two of the top 5 quarterbacks of all time(at worse top ten) Eli is better than Dilfer but it's not like Eli is actually good, he's an at best above average quarterback, but closer to average.

If you want to compare stats and stats alone, then you would take Peyton.

But he has played 8 to 10 games per year indoors. No wind, no rain, no receivers slipping, receivers always making sharp cuts. No plays ever being affected by the elements. I would think he gets a few points added to his completion % every year

Speaking of recievers; Have the Giants had any WR better than Marvin Harrison or Reggie Wayne? Have they had a TE better than Dallas Clark? have they had a RB better than Edgerin James?

He also had the same OC for his entire career until 2010.

2010 was also his worst passer rating since 2001.

Dilfer: Zero Super Bowl MVPs

Eli: 2

I will take any decent QB over 37 year-old Peyton in the elements.

Hell, if he has to play in Candlestick, he's gonna be a probably 55% completion and 2 picks for every 3 TD.

My statement regarding the Packers and Lambeau has far less to do with Manning, and much more to do with how the Packers themselves have played in Lambeau in the playoffs in recent memory.

I have no problem say Eli is better than Rodgers.

His last game he outplayed him. In the regular season they were even. Eli has 2 SB MVPs.
i hate this, qbs dont outplay each other unless they are facing the same defense and since that never happens they never outplay each other.

Rodgers had his worst game at the wrong time. Seemed to not look down field and took off running. Also missed wide open receivers.

It has nothing to do with my hatred of the Giants. Peyton Manning is one of the best QB's of all time. Eli will never be in that discussion.

The Pack are unbeatable at home in the playoffs.

I'd stick with the original until I see otherwise.

Could very well be right, but you never know.
