Default Usually MNF..
Is a game people wanna watch, a rivalry or two top contenders.. Ya know, that sort of thing. My question is this, who the fuck thought a Rams/Giants game was MNF worthy stuff? Is there a history there? If there is I dont remember it.

Bears Packers
Redskins Cowboys
Raiders Broncos
Pats Colts

etc.. Thats what we wanna see, last night was trash.

Not a big Night Football of anyday fan to begin with, but in their defense there are not a whole lot of rivalry games on the NFL schedule in week 2.

They should hold Monday night games till the middle of the season when things start to warm up. Approach it like they do the flex scheduling.

Monday games are not meant to be the showcase game any more. I had thought the plan was that everyone gets a Monday night game now. But after checking Carolina, Arizona, Houston, Tennessee, Cleveland and Cincy dont get games this year. But for some reason Jacksonville gets two.....at home.....against Baltimore and San Diego.

So I sure as hell am not going to defend the scheduling.

When schedules were made this was a more appealing matchup as the Rams were expected to be up and coming and could possibly run with them. In fairness if Bradford had Jackson and Amendola last night they would have run with the Giants.

I wonder if the Monday night scheduling gets more favorable with the new deal ESPN just did.

I like seeing teams I do not see too much and have no rooting interest.

Kinda relaxing.

With that said, those two teams are a snooze.

I think it has more to do with the television market and how more teams want to revenue from MNF games. Television is ruining the game.

and Jaws and Gruden [when I had the sound up] need to get off Bradford's nuts.

The kid is all over the place.

Also, Josh McDaniel is more predictable than flies on shit.

I think Bradford will be good in this league and last night was an aboration.. Maybe that hand is still bothering him. Plus his WR core is junk although I like Alexander he's a big project.

I'd say there are a lot of lackluster games during any MNF season, especially later in the year.

You could make the argument that the Rams largely out played the Giants last night but made a few more mistakes where the Giants cashed in.

I'm still baffled by that punt at the end of the game. Why not take a shot?

Certainly been many a MNF games that have sent me to dreamland. To echo others, NBC Sunday Night football is the hot item.

Later in the year they will usually have the better games because they get to choose. That being said, their announcing team is terrible. I used to like Michaels but he just annoys me anymore. Collinsworth is horrible.

Bears/Saints would have been a good MNF game this week

I must be the only poster here that has no issues with Collinsworth. No love for him here.

Michaels is fine with me.....just don't make me listen to Joe Theisman.

I like Collinsworth. He doesnt blow alot of sunshine up the asses of the players he is commentating about.

Hes not a overblown gasbag like Madden became, either.

But Michaels, hes past his prime. Tirico calls a good game.

Are you talking about Sam Collingsworth?

Certainly you are not talking about Chris....the biggest sunshine up asses blower these days. By far!!!!

Hell, he was even blowing sunshine up an Eagles players ass last week (and Jason Peters was doing very good too) and it got to a point where I thought....OK already.

Cant stand Collingsworth. He is better suited for the studio. I always liked him OK there.

Why is Gus Johnson not working Prime Time national coverage games yet? This is the number one proof that the process of putting this type of talent on the air is GREATLY flawed.
